Tessa is a licensed architect currently working in Mill Valley as a designer of beautiful and highly functional built-ins for homes. She is a 2024 graduate of the Krenov school 2-year program, where she was able to immerse herself in the lessons of woodworking (and secret magic of the school). Prior to that, Tessa worked in San Francisco, dealing with residential architecture and project management. She also lived and worked for several various companies in Santa Cruz and Oakland, as a designer/drafter, as assistant in a fine woodworking shop, and technician. Tessa’s academic achievements include graduating cum laude with a BA in architecture from Cal Poly (2019), along with studying in Copenhagen, Switzerland and Italy. Topic: Mom’s Chair -Tessa will be presenting the KAM chair she designed in her last semester at The Krenov School and talk about the process from start to finish. She’'ll also touch on the chair as an object and its significance throughout human history as this was an important lens as she thought about the design. The club is lucky to have such an enthusiastic speaker share her experiences with us!
